A former cetárea, a seawater tank for breeding crustaceans connected to the sea, in the Asturian village of Tapia de Casariego. The structure had long been abandoned, preserving the basin, the platforms of the former buildings, and the stone walls along the access path.

In the project, the walls are clad in wood, embedded into the terrain and functioning as both railing and bench, defining the path that descends through ramps and steps toward the bathing area, lounging spaces, and solarium.
The intervention minimally alters the views of the horizon and creates a new topography that interacts with the surrounding landscape. The project was selected for the 2nd Canary Islands Biennial of Architecture, Art, and Landscape.

The beauty and potential of the site determined an intervention on the Cantabrian coast, generating new vectors and forms of interaction, transforming the ground and platforms into surfaces and movements that enable a different way of relating to the landscape.
