The first phase focuses on the complete intervention of the swimming pool and first-floor changing room areas, understanding this zone as a continuous element that must be able to function autonomously during the execution of the subsequent phases. This strategy allows the sports complex to remain operational without interruption, addressing in a single operation the most sensitive spaces of the whole. This intervention restores the building’s structural stability by acting on affected structural elements and resolving existing pathologies in slabs, pool decks, and technical areas, with the aim of re-establishing solidity and continuity in the built space.

The intervention in the swimming pool area is conceived as the recovery of a large interior space, where light, the laminated timber structure, and the glazed enclosures define an open and continuous atmosphere. The pool basins and their associated systems are completely renewed, improving their conditions of use, safety, and accessibility, while the hydraulic and water treatment installations, located in the basement, are reorganized as a silent support for the overall functioning of the complex. The water space is refined and updated, maintaining its open character while reinforcing its technical precision.

In parallel, the intervention in the changing rooms involves a comprehensive reorganization of the interior space, aiming to improve circulation clarity and the quality of everyday use. Finishes, panels, and waterproofing systems are replaced, resolving issues derived from humidity and the passage of time, while sanitation and drainage systems are updated to ensure more efficient and durable performance. The intervention is completed with new slopes and built-in elements that organize the space and facilitate maintenance, resulting in more functional, clearer changing rooms better adapted to the current needs of the building.
