The house is located almost on the edge of the cliff above Bakio Beach, with exceptional views of the sea and access from the seafront promenade on the south façade. The house is structured on a base containing the garage, the txoko, and auxiliary uses, together with the ground and first floors arranged as two interlocking volumes, as if they were another stone structure, with the intention of capturing the landscape towards the northwest.

The interior space of the house folds through the entire height, defining different areas and spatial sensations. The project works with the condition of thickness in the house’s walls, carving out different openings to frame views or bring light through the various façades, enriching the different interior spaces of the dwelling.

The sea and the horizon have become part of the house, establishing a constant dialogue between interior and exterior and redefining the idea of the boundary. The visual relationships have been given special consideration, according to the connection between the spaces and the territory in which they are located. Externally, the interlocking volumes aspire to become further rocks settled at the top of the cliff.
