The restoration of the Music Pavilion in San Francisco Park recovers one of the most recognizable elements of Oviedo’s urban landscape. This octagonal bandstand forms part of the city’s collective memory and the historic identity of the Paseo del Bombé.

The intervention is approached with respect for its heritage value and the delicacy of its metal construction. The restoration process involves the dismantling, repair, and workshop reassembly of its various components, allowing precise work to be carried out on each element that makes up the structure, ornamentation, and roof. The project seeks to restore the pavilion’s original presence while preserving the lightness and openness that define its architecture.

Raised on its stone plinth and surrounded by the park’s century-old vegetation, the pavilion once again assumes its role as a visual landmark and gathering place. The restoration not only recovers a singular architectural object but also reinstates a space deeply connected to the city’s cultural life, where music, strolling, and memory continue to form part of the same scene.
